In a dazzling ceremony held at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on August 10, Mia Le Roux was crowned Miss South Africa 2024
The 28-year-old marketing manager, model, and part-time student from Cape Town takes over the title from Natasha Joubert, Miss South Africa 2023.
Le Roux, who was born with profound hearing loss, won a cash prize of R1 million and a brand-new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe.
She also received a sponsorship package, including a luxurious serviced apartment and luxury beverage brands for the year of her reign.
The event, hosted by Bonang Matheba, featured a star-studded panel of judges and performances by top South African artists, including Kamo Mphela, Zoë Modiga, and Jesse Clegg.
Sign language activist Andiswa Gebashe ensured that Deaf attendees could fully participate in the ceremony.
Nompumelelo Maduna and Onalenna Constantin were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
Le Roux’s victory marks a new chapter in her journey, and she is set to inspire and empower women across South Africa during her reign as Miss South Africa 2024.
