Amid the ongoing backlash over a leaked group chat allegedly created to orchestrate conspiracies surrounding the death of singer Mohbad, actor and comedian Jigan Baba Oja has taken to TikTok Live to seek forgiveness and set the record straight

In an emotional outpouring, Jigan addressed VeryDarkMan (VDM), the activist who exposed the group, urging him to present any evidence linking him to Mohbad’s death or financial affairs.
“VDM, you need to finish what you started. By now, you should have posted where I was involved in Moh’s death, or where I tried to take his car or his money. God knows I had no bad intentions, but the only person who can defend me is dead,” he said.
Jigan admitted he had learned bitter lessons from the incident and vowed never to get involved in such matters again.
“I will never involve myself in anything like this again. I’ve also learned not to confide in people. I will mind my business.”
He spoke about betrayal and disappointment, revealing that even someone he once trusted joined the online mob calling for his arrest and public disgrace.
“A friend I trusted posted me on his page and called for my downfall.”
He also expressed pain over the reaction of his fellow TikTok creators who celebrated the suspension of his account.
“Some people I used to play games with on TikTok were happy when my page got banned. You banned my page, but you can’t ban my existence.”
Jigan added that the company managing him terminated his contract immediately—without waiting for any incriminating evidence to surface.
“You can terminate my contract, but you can’t terminate my life.”
To his fans, Jigan offered a sincere apology:
“To all my genuine fans, I am sorry. It was emotions that made me join the Justice for Mohbad movement. I’m done. I leave everything to Allah.”
His statement marked a sobering reflection on misplaced loyalty, public scrutiny, and the personal toll of social media outrage.
