A close friend of the late singer Mohbad, Spending, has come forward with startling claims against the artist’s wife, Wunmi
In a series of Instagram story posts, the eyewitness accused Wunmi of distorting facts about Mohbad’s final moments and questioned her role in the events leading to his death.
The friend recounted the incident on September 10, 2023, after Primeboy left Mohbad’s team. According to him, only Wunmi, Mohbad, Darosha, Liam (their child), OG (the driver), and himself were in the car heading home. He alleged that during the ride, Wunmi engaged in a heated argument with Mohbad, dropped their son in distress, and physically dragged the singer’s clothes despite his injuries from a prior show.
“You kept screaming and cursing Mohbad. Even Darosha intervened, asking you guys to stop. Your argument escalated to the extent that you threatened to end Mohbad’s career like Lil Frosh’s career was ended by his girlfriend,” he alleged.
The eyewitness also refuted Wunmi’s claims of providing first aid to Mohbad after they got home. He stated that instead, he and another person, Bami, went to buy ointments, and it was Bami who treated the singer. He also revealed that at 11 a.m. the following morning, Mohbad asked for a nurse since his regular one was unavailable.
“I contacted mine, but there was no response. Meanwhile, I have always wanted to ask this question: I noticed you threw a white item on Mohbad’s coffin. What was your purpose? You claimed to be protecting him, but why didn’t you protect him when he was alive and needed help?”
Furthermore, the friend accused Wunmi of being dishonest about the nurse’s involvement in Mohbad’s treatment, questioning her statements about whether the nurse was “sent” or arrived by mistake.
“The last time I saw Mohbad alive was around 11 a.m. on Monday before I left the house. The next thing I heard was that he had passed away. I saw his lifeless body outside a hospital in Osapa London. It was shocking and unbelievable,” he said.
In addition, he dismissed Wunmi’s claim that she and others were being coached by Mohbad’s father’s legal team, insisting that he was speaking only the truth.
He also outlined several inconsistencies in Wunmi’s statements, including her account of the fight between Mohbad and Primeboy, her claim of providing first aid, and her denial of being present when the nurse gave Mohbad his third injection.
“Wunmi, why are you going around with all these false narratives? There is nothing wrong with speaking out, but only if you are being honest,” he concluded.
The allegations have further intensified public scrutiny surrounding Mohbad’s mysterious death, with fans and family members continuing to demand justice.
