Monday Motivation: Whatever It Takes…Give It – By Sydney Ugbeda

A guy who wants to learn swimming, approached an expert and
asked to teach him. The expert took him to a swimming pool and said him “I am
going to dip you into the water and place my legs on you, when it gets to the
point you can’t hold any longer, just wave your hands and I will let you out.
So they began the exercise, he dipped the young guy in the pool and placed his
legs on his shoulder, it got to the point where the young man couldn’t hold it,
he waved his hands but the expert ignored him, it got to the point where he was
close to dying so he forced his way out of the water panting heavily, then he
protested and asked the expert, why didn’t you keep to your word? Continue below…

    You promised
to let me out when I wave my hand, you said you were going to let me out, the
expert calmed him and replied saying,
the time you waved your hands, you wish to be out, but when you forced
your way out, was when you strongly desired to live.
    The movie, “A Knight’s Tale”, it’s a story of a young man
regarded as common because he was not fortunate to be born into a royal family.
He decided to change his reality, he desired to become a knight someday so he
became a protégé to a knight.
What is your present reality? Do you want to change it? You
can! Just like the young William in the movie, you have got to desire your next
level so strongly that it possesses you. Also you need to connect to someone
    that represents the next level.
Let’s explore what it takes to change your reality.
Grit: Really, it takes a lot grits to succeed in our world
today. There are so many things that will challenge you, question your
legitimacy to succeed and your level of competence. People with grit go far in
life. From the movie, Williams was a guy with guts, and he confronted all the challenges
that were presented to him. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Vision: Every success starts with a vision. When you can
clearly see where you want be, you will surely get there. This is not a
function of your physical eyes, because our physical eyes have really limited
so many of us. Most of the things we see with our physical eyes are the things
we don’t want in our lives. Imagine you live in a place where violence and
poverty is a lifestyle, you literally exhibit that. To change this, you must see
beyond what your physical eyes can see. Learn to see and focus on where you
    desired to be.
Good People: your journey to success can only be successful
when you have good people on the trip with you. When William decided to change
his life, he had good, competent and loyal people around him and this is one
major factor you will find among great and successful people, they have smart
people as their allies. Take a critical look at the people you have in your
inner cycle, see if they are people that can help you realize your dreams. You
must surround yourself with competent and motivated people who will keep your
    fire burning.
Whatever it’s going to take, please give it!
Remain creative until we meet next week Monday.
