Gospel singer Moses Bliss has come under fire after posting a challenge for graphic designers online, asking them to create a flyer for his upcoming event, The Mountain Experience Abuja, with the promise that the “best designer will be employed.”
In his post, he wrote:
“Ok, Graphic designers, let’s do a challenge: design a flier for The Mountain Experience Abuja. The best designer will be employed. Post your design in the comments of this post.”

The post sparked outrage among many Nigerians, who criticized the move as disrespectful and demeaning to professional designers.
One user said, “I find this very disrespectful from Moses Bliss.” Another added, “This is rubbish just to draw attention to your event. As a Gospel celebrity, Moses Bliss, your media team is lacking creativity.”

Some creatives highlighted the broader issue of undervaluing design work. Ìrètí™ | Brand & Visuals commented, “It’s disrespectful and disappointing to see how little value seems to be placed on designers. I’m really upset about this post.”
Others mocked the approach, with one user pointing out the absurdity by saying, “Okay, musicians, I’m hosting a concert. Perform, and we’ll pick the best performance and compensate him. @mosesblisslive you see how this sounds?”

Critics also noted that Moses Bliss already works with skilled designers for his past programs, questioning why he initially shared an AI-generated flyer before launching the challenge.
Some suggested he could have simply hired a recommended designer from established church networks instead of putting creatives in a public contest.
