Habibur Masum, a Bangladeshi man wanted as a murder suspect of 27-year-old Kulsuma Akter while she pushed her baby in a pram, is believed to be the father of the child, according to locals.
Masum remains at large following the shocking daylight attack on Saturday in Bradford. Witnesses claim Masum was seen talking to Akter before the violent assault, suggesting a prior relationship. Akter was fatally stabbed while shopping, leaving behind her five-month-old son, who was unharmed.
Police have urged the public not to approach Masum and to call emergency services if spotted. CCTV footage captured Masum boarding a bus moments after the attack.
Masum, a digital marketing student at the University of Bedfordshire, has shared travel vlogs on social media, portraying himself as an adventurous traveller. Despite his online presence, his involvement in the attack has shocked acquaintances, who describe him as a nice person.
The incident has sparked a police manhunt, with authorities appealing for information from the public. Akter’s tragic death has left the community reeling, highlighting concerns over violence against women.
