Alhaji Oluwole Cole popularly known as Baraka, a very close pal of Murphy Afolabi has revealed what really led to the actor’s death.

Oluwole who spoke during the burial of the actor yesterday said, the real cause of Murphy’s death was not that he slipped, but that the actor had been sick.

Oluwole also revealed that the actor had malaria for about 3 days after he celebrated his birthday on May 5th.

He said the actor had even invited a nurse to his home to come and treat him before the unfortunate fall inside his bathroom.

He pointed out that Murphy was weak, and it was dizziness that made him fall in the bathroom.

He also said, the weakness and sickness actually started at Malaika’s 50th birthday party. He said Murphy had complained to him about being weak during an errand and people had asked him to seat.

What Oluwole said; “At Malaika’s birthday party, Murphy and I were doing some running around when he complained he was feeling weak and he was told to sit down and rest. After Murphy celebrated his birthday, he had malaria for like 2-3 days. On the fateful day that he died. He wasn’t feeling too good and he called a nurse to come home and give him some injections. Afterward drank pap and went to the bathroom. In the bathroom, he started feeling dizzy and he fell. It wasn’t the tiles of the bathroom that slipped him. He fell as a result of the dizziness and that was it”.

  1. This happened to me over the weekend. I was forced to call a nurse to come treat me and I slept so well. Still feeling dizzy though but having a good rest . We need to tale care of ourselves. Life is too short

    • Good to hear you are feeling better. Getting a nurse to treat you at home is usually not the best option. It is recommended you go to a proper hospital to see a Doctor for proper examination, if if needed they may need to run some test to determine the real cause of your weakness and/or dizziness. My mother-in-law almost died due to self medication and home treatment by unqualified nurses.

      • Exactly. Self medication is never the best. We spend money on food, we dash people money. Let’s normalise spending on our health too.
