Music producer Louddaaa has shared his inspiring experience working with Ayra Starr on her album “The Year I Turned 21”
He praised the Mavin Princess for her experimental approach in the studio, which encouraged him to think creatively and push boundaries.
Louddaaa noted that Ayra Starr often has a clear vision of what she wants, but may not always have the technical terms to express it.
Through their collaboration, he developed his ability to listen well and translate her ideas, even when they were difficult to articulate.
Their prior work together had established a strong chemistry and connection in the studio, allowing them to build on their creative synergy.
Louddaaa credited Ayra with teaching him to decode tiny details that bring an artist’s vision to life, a skill he is now applying to his work with other artists.
He expressed gratitude for the experience, saying it has made him a better producer.
He said; “Working with Ayra pushed me, and made me think outside the box. I had to experiment a lot, as she also loves to experiment, though she usually knows exactly what she wants.
“Collaborating with her has also helped me to build the ability to actively listen and interpret the ideas artistes are trying to achieve, even if they find them difficult to express. It taught me to decode tiny details that bring their visions to life.
Most times, Ayra already knew what she wanted before coming to the studio. She might not always have the technical terms to explain it, but working with her helped me to decode her ideas, and I am applying that to my work with other artistes.”
