Bella Shmurda has highlighted the challenges artists face with music promotion costs
He noted that many artists are hesitant to release new music, especially albums, due to the high expenses involved.
In an interview, the singer stated that music video production costs are a major factor, with prices starting from N20 million.
He emphasized that promoting an album requires a significant budget, making it difficult for artists to afford, especially when it involves multiple songs and videos.
Bella said, “To release an album, you need a huge budget, unlike singles. Because for albums, you’re promoting 10 to 14 songs all at once. It’s a lot.
“Promoting songs on the radio, shooting videos for five, six songs, is a lot. These days, the least you can spend on a music video is N20 million. So, how many artists can afford to shooting five videos?”
