Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has debunked rumours of his death, calling them false and urging fans and family to ignore the reports
Sharing a video on Instagram on Friday, Agu wrote, “Fans and family, please disregard any rumors about my death, and kindly report the page of the blogger who started spreading them. I am very much alive by God’s grace.”
In the video, he declared, “Chief Chiwetalu Agu, okenmiri n’ezoru Oha 1 of Etiti Amokwe, Enugu State, is not going to die anytime soon. I will be the one to bury my enemies. Na who dig pit go fall inside. Na who dig grave go fall inside. I am yet to carry my grandchildren, and I must do so in good health when my children are ready.”
Agu also said that had a major blogger been responsible for the false report, he would have pursued legal action for defamation and economic damage. “But I am not suing the blogger involved, who is still struggling with likes,” he added.
He expressed disappointment that in 2025, many people still believe such claims without verification. “Fans and families, disregard any rumours and rebuke anyone spreading such diabolical news about me,” Agu said.
His clarification comes after an online blogger claimed he had d!ed, causing confusion among his admirers.
