Ekaette Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed allegations of sexual harassment made against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan

Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the Senate, claimed in an interview with Arise Television on Friday that Akpabio sexually harassed her. She also alleged that the Senate President deliberately blocked her motions from being considered because she rejected his supposed advances, leading to ongoing harassment and character attacks.
Addressing journalists on Friday at her Abuja residence, Mrs. Akpabio rejected the claims, calling them fabricated. She stressed the long-standing cordial relationship between both families, saying, “The allegations are unfounded, as she was present at her family residence on the alleged date, 8th December 2023. Both families enjoy a long-standing cordial relationship that predates Senator Natasha’s marriage to her husband.”
She also defended her husband’s integrity, noting his commitment to women’s inclusion in governance even before assuming the role of Senate President.
Mrs. Akpabio urged women to refrain from making false accusations and vowed to take legal action on the matter.
