Naira Marley has finally spoken about the road accident involving Sam Larry, a crash that claimed the life of Sam Larry’s bouncer.
The singer shared an emotional message, saying Sam Larry is receiving treatment and hoping for his recovery.
He also spoke about the criticism and negative comments he and Sam Larry have faced, saying the situation has been difficult for both of them.
In his words:
“Sam Larry is my brother, and he’s okay. He’s receiving treatment, and we’re praying for a quick recovery. But I need to address something: the online hate toward Sam Larry and me has to stop. It feels like many Nigerians want to see us fail. Your reaction to his accident made it clear just how much hate is out there.
We haven’t done nothing to deserve that. I’ve given Nigeria good music for years, but now it feels like you’ve turned against me. People are literally wishing us bad while we are innocent. That tells me this has gone too far. Thank God Sam Larry survived that fatal crash.”
While expressing relief that Sam Larry survived, though in a critical condition, Naira Marley did not ignore the emotional weight of the incident.
Naira Marley and Sam Larry have remained at the centre of public scrutiny since the de.ath of singer Mohbad in September 2023. Both men were widely criticised after videos showing Sam Larry confronting Mohbad resurfaced online following the singer’s de.ath.
Although they have denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death, and investigations into the case are still ongoing, the controversy has continued to shape public opinion about them.
