Pauline Mbangula, a Namibian woman, has been arrested in South Africa after airport X-rays allegedly revealed drugs hidden in her stomach
She had been on vacation in Brazil with her Nigerian boyfriend, who allegedly convinced her to smuggle drugs by ingesting them.
Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), told Namibian Sun that Mbangula expelled 68 capsules of suspected cocaine by the following day.

“She will be taken to the hospital to ensure all capsules have been expelled. She is under close observation and has not been placed in a cell because the drugs need to be removed from her system,” Mathe said.
The 30-year-old had traveled from Luanda to Brazil with her boyfriend, who initially led her to believe they were just on vacation.
Once there, he persuaded her to swallow the drugs.
On their return to South Africa, she was expected to meet an accomplice, whose identity remains unknown to the authorities, said SAPS spokesperson Mashadi Selepe during an interview with Namibian broadcaster NBC.
