On Saturday, the national power grid experienced a system collapse, resulting in a nationwide blackout

According to reports, the grid collapsed at approximately 3 pm.
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has confirmed the incident, stating that all its interfaces at the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) stations are without supply.
This has affected the company’s ability to provide electricity to customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.
In a statement, EEDC explained that they are awaiting further information from the National Control Centre in Osogbo regarding the cause of the collapse and the estimated time for restoration of supply.
