The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has expressed concern over the rising abuse of dangerous substances among youths, following recent drug seizures in Lagos and Kano
Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, shared a video of the confiscated items on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
The seized substances include New Psychoactive Substances and others with disturbing names like “Suck & Die,” “Rubber Solution,” “Dead Man,” and “Gelato.”
Babafemi called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to stay alert and proactive in combating these alarming trends.
In his message, he stated: “Narco-trend update: Parents, shine your eyes! Latest seizures by @ndlea_nigeria officers in Lagos and Kano reveal scary names of some substances, including NPS, we should all watch out for in our homes and communities: Suck & Die, Rubber Solution, Dead Man, Gelato.”
