The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagum, has confirmed that the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) has officially affirmed Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the PDP National Secretary
Damagum made the announcement on Monday while speaking to journalists after the NEC meeting held at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
He explained that the decision was one of the major resolutions adopted during the meeting, noting that the NEC remains the highest decision-making body within the party.
“Let it be clear that the NEC has affirmed Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary of our great party,” Damagum stated.
The development appears to end recent speculations and internal disputes over the position, reinforcing the NEC’s authority and its commitment to unity within the party’s leadership.
