Rapper Nelly, was arrested on Wednesday (Aug. 7) at approximately 4:45 am in the St. Louis area
According to reports, he was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and not having insurance.
The 49-year-old artist allegedly had four ecstasy pills in his possession at the time of the arrest.
He was held at the Maryland Heights Police Department but has since been released.
This incident follows a performance last year at Juicy Fest in Australia, where fans speculated that Nelly may have been under the influence due to his unusual behavior on stage, including struggling to keep his eyes open and displaying strange facial expressions.
As of now, Nelly has not publicly commented on his recent arrest.
