Nnenna Mbonu, popularly known as Nelly, is a Nigerian model, chef, and video vixen who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry
Born on June 15th, 1995, in Abia State, Nigeria, Nelly grew up in a religious household with three siblings.
Education and Career
Nelly had her primary and secondary education in Abia State before proceeding to the Federal University of Agriculture, Benue State, where she studied Food Science Technology. After completing her studies, she was mobilized for the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in 2023.
Nelly’s career in modeling began when she won the Face of Igbere contest in 2013. She has since participated in other pageants, including the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN) in 2015, where her friend Anita emerged as the winner. Nelly has also represented Nigeria at the Miss Tourism pageant in China.
In addition to modeling, Nelly is a skilled chef and has opened her own cooking brand, Food2Pot, which offers African cuisine services. She has also appeared in music videos, including the “Abracadabra” video featuring Wizkid and Skibii.

Nelly was recently selected as a contestant on the Big Brother Nigeria 2024 show, after applying for over nine seasons. Her participation in the show has generated interest, given her background in pageantry and entertainment.
