The returnees arrived on Tuesday night and were received at the cargo terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, through NEMA’s Lagos Operations Office working alongside the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons.

On arrival, officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service conducted biometric registration and documentation to ensure proper records and smooth reintegration into society.

NEMA further noted that the returnees were provided with immediate humanitarian support, including food, drinking water, medical attention, ambulance services, luggage assistance, logistics support, and counselling.

The agency added that the exercise was carried out in an orderly manner through coordinated efforts among relevant government and partner agencies to ensure the safe and dignified return of the citizens.
