Thousands of Netflix users are experiencing disruptions as the streaming service suffers a widespread outage affecting multiple regions
Many subscribers have reported being unable to stream content, access the app, or sign in to their accounts across different devices.
According to outage monitoring platform Downdetector, reports of problems have surged dramatically, climbing to more than 8,300 compared with the usual average of around seven, suggesting the issue is affecting a large number of users rather than isolated individuals.
Users have described a range of problems, including the app failing to load, endless buffering, playback failures, and login errors. The issues have been reported on smartphones, smart TVs, web browsers, and streaming devices.
The disruption appears to be impacting both Netflix’s website and mobile apps, with some subscribers saying they cannot start watching shows even after successfully logging into their accounts.
