Popular cleric, pastor Bolaji Idowu has drawn attention to the need for realistic financial expectations in relationships, particularly when it comes to what people expect men to provide.
He believes it is unfair to describe a man as broke simply because he cannot afford a lifestyle that the person making the demand cannot afford either.
In post on his page, he wrote:
“Never call a man broke because he can’t afford what you, yourself can’t afford. Sometimes, it’s not about being broke; It’s about having unrealistic expectations “.
In other words, wanting a comfortable life is understandable, but expectations should also reflect what is financially realistic. Not every man who cannot afford certain things is struggling financially; sometimes, the expectations placed on him are simply beyond reason.
