“Next of kin”: Obi Cubana’s wife breaks silence

Lush Eby, wife of socialite Obi Cubana, has broken her silence amid the controversy surrounding her husband’s “next of kin” declaration

The controversy began when Obi Cubana’s adopted son claimed the title in a viral video, only for Obi Cubana to later affirm his biological son, Alex, as his legitimate next of kin.

In an Instagram post, Lush Eby reflected on the nature of social media, describing it as a platform where people share intimate stories and blur boundaries, often dissecting lives they know little about.

Amid the drama, she chose to focus on celebrating her husband’s 50th birthday, declaring April as his month and affectionately referring to him as “babe.”

She wrote: “Only on social media do you encounter people sharing your life story as if they know you personally.

Only here will you learn about your own history from strangers who’ve never even met you.

And only on social media will you see people blaming wives and mothers because of their own misguided thoughts and evil ideas… because that’s who they are.
