The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the k!lling of notorious terrorist kingpin Halilu Sububu by its special forces
Halilu Sububu, who was based in Zamfara, was responsible for terrorizing communities in Sokoto, Niger, and Kaduna States, including a 2021 attack on a military base in Katsina that claimed many soldiers’ lives.
According to Punch, a joint operation led by NAF Special Forces, Sububu and 38 other terrorists were neutralized on September 12, 2024, near Mayanchi, Zamfara.
The operation, part of the ongoing effort to secure the area, resulted in the recovery of significant weapons and ammunition, including:
– 3 PKT machine guns
– 5 AK-47 rifles
– 29 magazines
– Over 1,000 rounds of ammunition
– 2 Rocket-Propelled Grenade tubes
– 1 RPG bomb
This success comes hours after the Nigerian Army announced the d3ath of another terrorist kingpin, Halilu Buzu, in Zamfara State.
The NAF Special Forces’ operation demonstrates their effectiveness in leading critical missions to neutralize threats and maintain national security.
