Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga has been cleared of se.xual assault allegations after Norway’s Frostating Court of Appeal overturned the earlier judgment against him
The 19-year-old has been sidelined for nearly 11 months while the case was ongoing.

His club, Molde FK, confirmed on Thursday that Daga is now eligible to return to action as they await the court’s final written judgment.
Daga had previously been sentenced by the Romsdal District Court to six months in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman. He was also ordered to pay NOK 10,000 in legal costs.
The young midfielder represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in both 2023 and 2025 and is now set to resume his football career following the appeal court’s decision.
