A Nigerian nurse identified as Miriam has been found dead in her apartment in Leeds, United Kingdom, shortly after returning from her wedding introduction in Nigeria
The heartbreaking incident was shared online by a netizen with the handle @ronkecarew, who revealed that Miriam had been missing for days before she was discovered.
According to reports, Miriam had worked her last nursing shift on a Sunday. After she stopped responding to messages, a concerned friend filed a missing person report. Police later found her lifeless body in her apartment.
It was also noted that she had just returned from Nigeria, where she held her traditional introduction ceremony. Her partner was expected to join her in the UK later.
The news has left many in the Nigerian and nursing communities deeply saddened.
