UK-based Nigerian reality star, Tacha, has taken aim at the conduct of some Nigerian pastors, calling out what she describes as hypocrisy and impunity within the church

In a strongly worded video shared on her X handle, Tacha reacted to the viral incident involving House on the Rock founder, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, who was seen confronting a car spotter with what appeared to be a pistol-like object.
While Pastor Adefarasin later claimed the object was not a firearm and insisted the spotter was aggressive, Tacha rejected that account, accusing him of trying to manipulate public perception.
“Let’s call a spade a spade,” she said. “We all saw the video. That was not aggression from the spotter. In fact, the boy was hailing the pastor. It was Adefarasin who stopped, wound down his window, and pointed something that looked like a gun. That’s what we saw.”
She expressed disbelief over the applause Pastor Adefarasin received from his congregation during his explanation, questioning their moral compass.
“What are you people clapping for? Didn’t you watch the same video the rest of us saw, or is it selective blindness?” she asked.
Tacha didn’t stop there. She condemned the broader behavior of Nigerian pastors, suggesting that many exploit their influence unchecked.
“Ninety per cent of Nigerian pastors wouldn’t get away with this nonsense outside Nigeria. The kind of religion they practice here? Their churches wouldn’t last a year abroad,” she said.
She also pointed out what she described as a clear case of double standards, arguing that if a political figure like Seyi Tinubu or Wike had been involved in the same incident, there would have been widespread outrage on social media.
Referring to past reports of Pastor Adefarasin allegedly smashing a bus windscreen in traffic, Tacha concluded: “This is someone who reportedly endangered passengers last year and now wants to paint a young boy with a camera as a threat? It’s absurd. Let’s stop being hypocrites.”
Her comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some applauding her candor and others accusing her of disrespecting religious leaders.
