15-year old impregnated by relative her parents accommodated

A Nigerian woman has explained how her friend’s daughter, a 15-year old girl was impregnated by a relative her family trusted and accommodated

She initially shared the story in April, explaining that the girl has refused to mention who impregnated her, due to threats, but has now finally been able to mention the man — a trusted relative who lived with them.

She shared the update, because many Nigerians then condemned her parents, and also termed the girl as been wayward.

The update is definitely heartbreaking. We hope another family is learning. NEVER BRING A MAN TO YOUR HOUSE IF YOU HAVE GIRLS. And DON’T BRING A WOMAN TOO IF YOU HAVE BOYS. It’s both ways people. ITS BOTH WAYS BELIEVE ME.

“Y’ all remember this post I made about my friend’s 15yo teenage daughter that got pregnant but wouldn’t talk or say anything to her parents about who was responsible or what happened?

The one where my friends, the parents were caught off guard cos they were sure they were raising her and her siblings right? The very one where the heartbroken father was of the option that she keeps it to “teach her a lesson” while the mother was against it?

The very post that went viral and had a lot of you call the parents unprintable names?

How they failed and were terrible parents? How imperfect and Irresponsible they were to allow their 15yo get pregnant without them knowing?

Especially the mother, for even thinking or imagining deleting the foetus cos who does that???

Well, with the permission of the mother, I’ll like to tell y’all that it wasn’t the “waywardness” of the child or “failed parenting or irresponsibility of the parent” that got her pregnant.

An adult relative, a very close one that they all trusted and allowed to live with them, did that to their teenage daughter and thre@tened her for months, which she succumbed to until she decided to trust her parents more and talked.

But just know that, the parents did EVERYTHING RIGHT by their child by making sure she was safe and putting her first.”
