Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has dropped her two cents on the messy fallout between Adeola Diiadem and her former bestie, Dabota Lawson.
In a post shared on social media, the actress addressed the pressure to associate with the so-called “Lagos big girls” and maintain a certain lifestyle.
“Na una want be friends with self acclaimed Lagos big girls by force 😂😂 people wey be say na online aesthetic want wound them, the moment you go close you go too pity them 😂🚶,” she wrote.
Nkechi said she does not identify with the “big girl” label and would rather focus on having enough to eat and being able to afford tickets to travel.
“Me I be Yankee broke girl 😂 I no kuku identify with anything big girl, make I sha Dey see food chop and ticket money to fly round d world…who get pass me no concern me 🤙”, she noted
She also said she has no interest in the pressure to belong to a particular social circle, noting that she prefers to have her own space.
“The pressure to belong to the so called Lagos big girls can never be for someone like me that likes my space,” she wrote.
Nkechi further addressed the way people are often judged based on what they display online, saying celebrities who do not constantly flaunt their lifestyle are quickly labelled as broke.
“Cus we no Dey post lifestyle dem go call us broke 😂,” she added.
Her post comes amid the public fallout between Diiadem and Dabota, whose once-close friendship has recently taken a dramatic turn online.
