Nollywood actor Nwaogu Udochukwu Victor, popularly known as Nkubi, has finally stepped up to the romance game by gifting his wife flowers a gesture he previously dismissed.
Just days ago, Nkubi had sparked controversy during an interview when he revealed he had never bought flowers for his wife, insisting it wasn’t an African tradition.
“As Africans, we don’t do flowers,” he had stated, a comment that quickly drew the ire of netizens.
Facing online backlash, Nkubi seems to have had a change of heart. His wife proudly shared the thoughtful gift on Instagram, writing:
“Udochukwu, my lovely husband, has finally bought me natural flowers.”
The actor added a personal touch with a heartfelt note, drawing a poetic comparison between his wife and the blooms. “To my Adorable wife, You are as beautiful as these flowers,” he penned.
Nkubi’s gesture has certainly softened hearts online, proving that even those who resist tradition can find their own ways to celebrate love.
