The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has slashed the pump price of Petrol to N910 at its retail outlets in Abuja, bringing some relief to motorists

According to reports from Daily Posts, NNPCL stations across the capital — including those in Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4 — are now selling petrol at N910 per litre, down from the previous price of N945. This marks a N35 price reduction.
The price cut comes just four days after Dangote Refinery reduced its petrol ex-depot price from N880 to N840 per litre, citing a drop in global crude oil prices as the reason for the adjustment.
In response to the changes, members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) also adjusted their pump prices. In Abuja, prices dropped to between N930 and N940 per litre, down from N945–N975. In Lagos, prices have fallen from N925 to around N890 per litre.
The recent reductions signal a potential shift in the fuel pricing trend, driven by international market dynamics and growing competition in the downstream sector.
