The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has suspended its nationwide strike against the Dangote Group
The union had launched the industrial action on Monday to protest the company’s refusal to allow its workers to join NUPENG.

The strike was called off after a meeting convened by the Department of State Services (DSS), with the Ministers of Labour and Finance and officials of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) in attendance.
Dangote’s management team was led to the meeting by Seyu Dantata. Details of the agreement reached have not yet been disclosed.
