A brave nursing mother in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) joined the “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” protest at Eagle Square in Abuja, infant in hand, to demand change
Her decision to participate was driven by a personal tragedy – the loss of her husband to bandits in Katsina State.
As she protested alongside others, the woman, who chose to remain anonymous, was met with teargas fired by police.
She expressed her outrage and concern for her baby’s safety, while emphasizing the harsh realities Nigerians face.
“I came to protest the hardship in Nigeria and the police are shooting tear gas at us. Do they also want to kill my baby? People cannot eat. Things are hard,” she said, according to TheCable.
