A delegation from Chelsea Football Club on Sunday visited the palace of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi in Lagos as part of efforts to promote stronger football and cultural connections
Among those in the delegation was former Super Eagles midfielder and ex-Chelsea star Victor Moses, who played a key role during the visit.
The monarch welcomed the guests and described the meeting as an important opportunity to encourage football growth, youth empowerment, and international collaboration.
Sharing details of the visit on Instagram, Oba Elegushi highlighted the need for stronger partnerships between international football organisations and grassroots football structures in Nigeria.
He also appealed to Chelsea to support local football clubs and academies through collaborations that would help develop young talents across the country.
