Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has visited newly re-elected Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke
During the visit Obasanjo urged Adeleke to continue on the path of good governance and delivery of dividends of democracy.
Obasanjo gave the charge on Sunday night when he paid a surprise congratulatory visit to the Governor at his country home, Ede.

“Continue to deliver good governance. Continue to meet the needs of your people,” Obasanjo charged the governor.
Governor Adeleke, who was surprised at the ex-president’s visit, expressed his gratitude to God and the people and promised to continue to be a loyal servant of the Osun people.
“Baba, I thank you for this surprise visit. I promise never to disappoint God, the Osun people and all lovers of democracy who made our victory possible,’ the governor told the former leader.

Obasanjo was accompanied by ex-president’s ally, Otunba Oyewole Fasawe, and was received by Governor Adeleke with dancing and a song of praise to God for the successful outcome of the election.
Adeleke, who was first elected as the governor of Osun State in 2022, won a fresh bid for another four-year term on Saturday under the Accord Party platform he joined from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in December 2025.
