‘Obi Must Win’ INEC Presiding Officer Says
A Twitter user, Chidinma Okorie, who is a Presiding Officer with the Independent National Electoral Commission in the ongoing presidential and National Assembly elections has declared that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, must win.
Miss Okorie with the Twitter handle @ChidinmaOkori20, wrote, “If stress was a person, I didn’t sleep all night. Presiding officer.
“Peter obi must win. Please, it’s just the logo on the ballot papers ooo no LP.” In a now-deleted tweet.
National Youth Service Corps had warned corps members on election duty to uphold the tenets of the scheme.
The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, gave the warning on Friday while addressing the corps members during a sensitisation programme in Abuja, which was also held concurrently in all states of the federation.
Ahmed also implored the corps members to abide by the electoral laws, adding that they were not immune from being prosecuted for electoral offences.
