A Four-storey building has collapsed in Abuja last night

According to reports, an unspecified number of people have been trapped as the four-storey building located at Unity House, Area 11 by Nkwere Street in the Garki area of the Federal Capital Territory collapsed.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday night when occupants of the building were asleep.

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh has also confirmed the incident.

She said three victims have been successfully rescued from the rubble, while search is still ongoing.

According to the PPRO, “the attention of the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria and FCT Development Control have been drawn to the situation, and their personnel have taken charge of the area for robust management of the scene”.
