Ogun workers, pensioners to receive N10k palliative
Just like Kwara, Ogun government has approved cash palliative of N10,000 for each of its public servants and pensioners.
Mr Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), announced in a statement released late Monday in Abeokuta.
According to him, the measure was designed for a period of three months in the first instance.
He added that it was put in place to help workers cope with the economic shocks occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.
“The move is in line with the current realities in the country and also the commitment of the state government to ameliorate the effects of removal of fuel subsidy on the well-being of the citizens of the state,” the SSG stated.
