Immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has defeated Ned Nwoko to secure a landslide victory with 4,462 votes in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary held in Ward 9, Okpanam, Delta North
In a dramatic result, serving Senator Ned Nwoko was said to have polled just three votes in the contest.
The outcome was shared on Facebook by Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, who described the exercise as successful.
He noted that the ward-level result reflects a decisive win for Ifeanyi Okowa and signals strong backing from party members.
The APC is currently holding its senatorial primaries nationwide, with reports suggesting that some serving senators seeking re-election may struggle to retain their tickets for the 2027 elections.
