Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo said residents have changed the nickname they use for him, replacing “Akpako Rescue” with “Okpe’s baby”.
He made the statement during an interview with ITV and Radio, while speaking about his experience walking along Sapele Road in Benin City, Edo State.
He said the change makes him happy because he can now walk freely on the streets without people throwing sachets of water at him.
He said:
“They have even changed my name from Akpako Rescue to Okphe’s baby.
These things give me joy because I walk freely on the street. Instead of throwing pure water at me, they are now giving me sweet names.”
