Indigenous rapper Olamide Adedeji has spoken in defence of Nigerian culture and traditional practices, saying they should not be demonised or regarded as diabolical
The rapper made the statement in a video actress Sotayo Gaga shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
Speaking in the clip, Olamide said, “Promoting the culture and trying to sensitise people that our culture and tradition are not diabolical and should not be demonised, and we are proud of who we are, our culture, and our heritage. I’m a Yoruba boy. If you give me black soap, I will collect it.”
He cited black soap as a traditional product he readily embraces, stressing his strong identification with Yoruba culture.
