Veteran Fuji singer Kollington Ayinla has revisited his years-long feud with fellow legend K1 De Ultimate, revealing what truly triggered the bitter disconnect between them

In a recently resurfaced video that has gone viral, Ayinla opened up about the moment things went sour, accusing K1 of disrespecting him during a period of grief. According to Ayinla, he had reached out to K1 with a condolence message after the loss of his daughter — only to be met with indifference.
“I sent him a message to sympathize with him after his daughter passed, but his response shocked me,” Ayinla said.
The tension deepened at a subsequent public event where both artists were present. Ayinla said K1 walked right past him without a word. Thinking it might have been an oversight, Ayinla asked someone to call him over — but the greeting that followed, he said, was cold and dismissive.
“He came back, but it was clear he didn’t want to. I greeted him, and he responded without any warmth. It left me speechless, but I chose not to react,” Ayinla recounted.
The situation reportedly hit a breaking point when K1 mounted the stage at the same event and acknowledged every notable Fuji act in the room — including junior colleagues like Pasuma and Saheed Osupa — while deliberately excluding Ayinla.
“That was the moment I realized his intentions,” Ayinla said. “He once claimed he pioneered Fuji music, and I believe he sees me as a threat to that narrative. But the truth remains — Fuji existed before his rise.”
Ayinla suggested that ego and a need for dominance may have fueled the rift, but he maintained that history cannot be rewritten.

Fuji existed before his rise. This is a fact. K1 dished what he can’t take. Osupa will soon come for him
