Former France striker Olivier Giroud’s Los Angeles home was reportedly broken into on February 5, with burglars stealing nearly €500,000 worth of valuables
According to TMZ Sports via L’Équipe, the intruders gained access by breaking a window while Giroud and his family were away. The stolen items included personal belongings of both the 2018 World Cup winner and his wife.
Local authorities have launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made yet.
Giroud, 37, who moved to Los Angeles FC last summer after a three-year stint at AC Milan, has struggled to find form at the MLS club, failing to score in 14 appearances.
This burglary adds to a growing trend of high-profile footballers being targeted by criminals while away.
