Ogiame Atuwatse III shared on Instagram that his invitation to the event came from Botchwey during her visit to the Warri Kingdom. He noted that Commonwealth Day is celebrated annually to bring together representatives of member states, fostering unity and renewing commitments to cooperation and development.

Following the service, King Charles III hosted a reception at St James’s Palace, where the Olu and Olori were formally received by the monarch. A video shared on the Olu’s Instagram page captured the moment they met the king.
