Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, stirred reactions after she was seen cautioning Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, over his extended singing during a public event in Ile-Ife
The incident happened on Sunday at the ceremony where the First Lady was installed as Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. In a video that has since gone viral, Governor Adeleke, known for his love for music, was seen leading worship songs while addressing the audience.

Midway into his performance, Mrs Tinubu walked towards the stage and issued a light but firm warning, urging him to wrap up his speech. She was captured mouthing words to the effect that he had just a few minutes left and that the microphone could be switched off if he continued singing.
Her words: “I give you five minutes to conclude your speech, enough with the music, or I will switch off the microphone”.
The moment quickly became a talking point online, with mixed reactions trailing the exchange. While some viewed it as a playful intervention to manage time, others criticised the manner in which the warning was delivered, describing it as inappropriate for a public setting involving a sitting governor.
