Nollywood legend Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is sounding the alarm about the need for industry reform, citing the vast difference in royalty payments between Nollywood and Hollywood
With a staggering 310+ projects under her belt, Omotola lamented that Nigerian actors don’t receive residual payments.
Meanwhile, she continues to earn monthly residuals from just two projects she did in Hollywood years ago.
Omotola’s Instagram post highlights the disparity, sparking renewed calls for Nollywood to adopt a more equitable compensation model.
She wrote: “Just 4 years in Hollywood, 2 test projects, monthly residuals” “30 years in Nollywood, 310+ projects, no residuals,”
