Oprah Winfrey has responded to claims that she was paid $1 million to support Kamala Harris during the recent U.S. presidential election, calling the reports false
The Washington Examiner had alleged that Oprah’s company, Harpo Productions, received a payment for hosting a celebrity town hall for Harris in September.
However, Oprah firmly denied the claim, stating that she did not receive any money for supporting the Democratic candidate.
“Not true. I was paid nothing, ever,” Oprah told TMZ.
She also declined to comment on the election results, which saw Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, emerge as President-elect.
