Osun State Election: APC Wants Court To Restrain President From Deploying Soldiers To The State

Some members of the All Progressives Congress party, APC, in
Osun State have approached a Federal High Court for an injunction restraining
President Jonathan from deploying military personnel to the state during the
forthcoming gubernatorial election which will take place on the 9th
    of August, 2014.

It has been a tug of war as the All Progressives Congress
party candidate, Rauf Aregbesola ( the present Governor) has vowed that PDP
will not unseat him in the state. But the candidate representing PDP in the state,
Iyiola Omisore says it’s time for a change, with the president also backing his
    statement.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government at the just
concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, deployed thousands of officers
comprising the Nigerian military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,
State Security Service, and police officers to the state.
