A visit by President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, to the wife of slain Oyo State mathematics teacher has drawn attention after she reportedly gave two bags of rice and ₦500,000 to the widow

Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju criticized the gesture, saying it does little to address the deeper issue of growing insecurity in the country.
According to him, the government has not been able to retrieve the v!ctim’s body, leaving the family unable to proceed with burial arrangements.
Adeyanju further argued that while the assistance may be appreciated on a personal level, it does not reflect a solution to the broader security challenges affecting citizens.
Adeyanju wrote: ”President Tinubu’s daughter visited the wife of our late client in Oyo State with 2 bags of rice and N500k. We insisted that rice is not the solution to the insecurity issues in Nigeria. The Tinubu-led government has failed to recover the body of our late client so that his family can organize a burial for him”.
