a 9 months pregnant woman has appeared before an Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court yesterday in Lagos. Chibuike who resides at Ijegun, is facing three-count charge
of s*xual assault, stealing and obtaining by false pretences. The prosecutor told
the court that the accused, unlawfully had s*x with a woman, when she was nine
months pregnant for her husband.

He told the court that the accused committed the offences in
August at No. 4, Ojorubutu St, Kudeyibu, Ijegun. He added that the accused also
unlawfully obtained some money from the woman under false pretences. The
prosecutor said that the offences contravene Sections 250, 263 and 312 of the
Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Pastor Chibuike pleaded not guilty to the charge and his
counsel, Jacint Ogbedele, pleaded with the court to grant his client bail in
the most liberal terms. The Magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N200,000
with two sureties. The case was adjourned to February 10, 2014, for trial.
