Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), has dismissed claims circulating on social media about his arrest and involvement in real estate fraud and money laundering

Speaking during his “Next Level Prayer” programme on Wednesday morning, Pastor Idowu categorically denied the allegations, emphasizing that he had no involvement in the real estate business. “Over the last 24 hours, there’s been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to state some facts,” he said. “I do not have any property in Nigeria except for the one everyone knows. I don’t buy or sell properties, I’m not in that business.”
He also addressed concerns about financial misconduct, inviting scrutiny into his financial activities. “My accounts are public accounts. Go and check if I ever received billions into my accounts,” he added.
These comments come in the wake of a report by Sahara Reporters, which claimed that Pastor Idowu was arrested and is under investigation by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) of the Nigerian police for alleged financial crimes. Despite the speculation, Pastor Idowu continues to lead HICC, a church with branches in Nigeria, the UK, and the US, and is known for his prominent prayer programmes.
